What $SOLV does in the game

Everything else in the game (shops, upgrades, dungeons, market) uses the in-game currencies Coin and Crystal.

Creator rewards

$SOLV launches on pump.fun with creator rewards: a small part of the fee on every trade goes to the token's creator, the Sol Village team. pump.fun collects it for the creator; the rate is shown on the token's pump.fun page.

Holding $SOLV does not earn rewards by itself: $SOLV is the game's currency, for summoning heroes and withdrawing your chest. The creator rewards pay for running and growing Sol Village: servers, fixes and new content.

Where withdrawn tokens come from

Summons send $SOLV into the game vault, and withdrawals are paid from the same vault. Coin itself is only created when heroes defeat monsters, and a large part of it is burned again by fees and upgrades, so the amount that can be withdrawn grows with real play, not with time alone.

Part of every summon is burned on-chain, for good: 50% of each of the first 10,000 summons sold, then half that for the next 10,000 (25%), and so on, so the burn slows down as the game grows and enough tokens stay to pay withdrawals. The rest stays in the vault to pay withdrawals; what the hot vault holds beyond what it needs is moved to the team's cold wallet, and the team tops the hot vault up from there when withdrawals need more.

Game wallets

Every wallet below is public: anyone can look up its balance and every transfer on Solscan.

Wallet What it does Address
Hot vault Receives $SOLV from summons and pays withdrawals. The game server holds its key, so it keeps only enough for a day or two of withdrawals. TBA
Cold vault Holds what the hot vault does not need. It is a Squads multisig: the server has no key to it, and moving tokens out needs several team members to sign. TBA
Team The Sol Village team's wallet. It created $SOLV on pump.fun, so it receives the creator rewards, and it holds the team's own $SOLV. TBA

Why two vaults? If the game server were ever broken into, only the small amount in the hot vault could be at risk. The rest sits in the cold vault, which the server cannot touch. When withdrawals need more, the team moves tokens from cold to hot by hand.
