Your cut

Coin from each kill is split between the hero and you. Pick the split on the top bar:

Coin your heroes keep isn't lost: they spend it in your shops and at the blacksmith, and part of that comes back to you. What they pay for a room at the inn or treatment at the clinic is burned — it is not your income — and it costs more the higher the hero's level.

The town's share depends on the hero

What a hero brings in is split between your town and a realm tax (the levy). Rarer heroes give your town a larger share — a Mythic hero brings in far more per hour than a Common. Veterans keep more of their own loot: as a hero climbs toward its level cap, your town's share shrinks, down to about a fifth of what it brought in at level 1. Old heroes still fight and level up, but new summons are what keep the town's income high. The levy is burned: it leaves the game for good.

Coin is never printed for free

New Coin only appears when heroes defeat monsters. A lot of Coin is removed again (burned): supplier costs, room and treatment fees, dungeon fees, market fees, exchanges and the withdrawal fee. There is no daily upkeep and no hero wages. This keeps the economy from inflating.

Exchanging Coin for Crystal

You can exchange Coin for Crystal (one way only). The first exchange of the day costs 4,000 Coin per Crystal, each further one a bit more, up to 25 times per day.

Ledger

Every movement of Coin, Crystal and items is recorded in a double-entry ledger on the server, and the books are checked automatically.
